Advance NOW is a 12-week intensive professional development training program offering soft skills, leadership development, financial literacy, and life skills to African American women in Metro Cincinnati. On June 6th, 2024, 28 Young Professional Black Women will be graduating from the 2nd Cohort of Advance NOW.
In addition to the graduation, we are hosting the EmpowerHer Awards, honoring remarkable African American women in Cincinnati. Keynote speaker City of Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval and opening event speaker Empower GENNOW Network Founder & CEO Renika J. Smiley will inspire us.
Our honorees include Rickell Howard Smith, President & CEO of YWCA Greater Cincinnati, receiving the Trailblazer for Change Award; Alicia Reece, Hamilton County Commissioner, honored with the Phenomenal Woman of Purpose Award; and Crystal Kendrick, Publisher of The Voice of Black Cincinnati, receiving the Queen of Leadership Award.
