The final night of this year’s Mostly Mozart Festival would have been a recreation of Beethoven’s famous four-hour-long 1808 Akademie concert. It featured several world premieres, including Beethoven’s Symphonies Nos. 5 and 6, as well as the Piano Concerto No. 4. Fortunately for our ears, conductor Louis Langrée directed this famous lineup earlier this year with his “other band” — the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
