Exodus Alternate Documents - a Cuban art exhibit
Since 1994, Willy Castellanos, a Cuban born art historian, curator, artist and photographer, has been documenting the 35,000 Cubans who left the island on hand-built rafts in what became one of the most dramatic exoduses in contemporary history. The artist also includes the participation of the Cuban immigrant community in Miami, as well as of the protagonists of the 1994 “Exodus of the Rafters” to capture first hand recollections of this historic event.
He is bringing his works to the Cincinnati community with a thought provoking exhibit featuring an opening night benefit for the Immigrant and Refugee Law Center.
Join us on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 6:00pm for a night of cultural immersion and supporting the Immigrant and Refugee Law Center with an opening night fundraiser at the Pendleton Art Center Annex Gallery.
