Tributary performance and movement workshop
1 p.m. and 3 p.m. | Grand Hall
See a performance of contemporary dance work Tributary, followed by a talkback with choreographer Maiya Caldwell and NKU dance faculty Teresa VanDenend Sorge exploring how the piece interprets the story of Black abolition in nearby Augusta, Kentucky. Caldwell and VanDenend Sorge will lead a workshop to create your own movement story through dance – movers of all ages and abilities welcome.
Tributary was created with the support of the NKU Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement and was premiered at Echo Hall, Augusta, Kentucky as part of the Six@Six Lecture Series.
