Fighting Trafficking, not the Trafficked

About this Event

Join us for a moderated panel discussion featuring members of law enforcement, legal advocates, nonprofit workers, and trafficking survivors. The panelists will explore ways in which the legal system is attacking the horrible system of trafficking itself rather than those caught in its web. Along the way they will consider how this can contribute to better relationships between law enforcement and the Cincinnati community.

Learn from a diverse panel of experts about how law enforcement can better serve trafficking victims and survivors. Moderated by Hannah Estabrook, CATCH Court Coordinator at Franklin County Municipal Court, this outstanding panel will include:

  • Viann Barnett, Program Director of Off the Streets and a survivor of human trafficking
  • Sasha Naiman, Deputy Director of the Ohio Justice and Policy Center
  • Officer Beth Roach, Community Relations Officer for the City of Blue Ash Police Department
  • Officer Anthony Johnson, Immigrant Affairs Liaison for the Cincinnati Police Department
