Gas prices are sky high. Climate change is looming. And the international environment is complicating it even more.
Join us on Wednesday, July 27th when Professor Theresa Saboni-Helf, PhD, an international energy expert & Georgetown professor, will share insights on how energy, technology & governments intersect. Including discussing questions like:
- How does the quest for adequate energy shape international relations?
- How do policies, technologies and markets interact in the realm of energy?
- How do states balance among technological risk, environmental risk, economic risk and political risk?
Theresa Sabonis-Helf is a Professor of the Practice in the Georgetown School of Foreign Service Master’s Degree program, and serves as the Inaugural Chair of the Science, Technology and International Affairs concentration. She is a frequent advisor to the US Department of State and USAID and is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She holds a PhD in Political Science from Emory University, and an MPA in International Affairs from Princeton University.
The event is virtual, begins at 6:30pm EST and is free to the public (with a suggested donation of $20).
