2019-2020 Scholarship Recipient: Alma Aguilar

I am currently a Junior at Mount St. Joseph University, with a major in social work. I am very grateful to be a recipient of the Hispanic Chamber of Cincinnati scholarship. I have worked really hard to make sure that I keep my grades up, no matter what I am going through. This experience allowed me to see that hard work always pays off.
This was an amazing experience, I was able to meet new people through the volunteer opportunities, and work with some amazing organizations. I was able to really learn about more of the Hispanic organizations that are available in my community. I have been able to see and understand some of the things that people in minority communities need, which will definitely help me once I get further in my career after graduating. I really encourage others to become part of the chamber, it is a great opportunity to not just network, but to also meet others in my community.
