Food and fun at the museum's Festive Frolic

WHAT: Cincinnati Museum Center is inviting you to a Festive Frolic that’s almost too much fun to pack into one of the shortest days of the year. On Saturday, December 20, the museum is celebrating Winter Solstice with storytimes, puppet shows, cooking and plenty of caroling. The day’s events will offer up a taste of some holiday classics, including sugar plums, latkes and a hot cup of wassail as its chefs and food scientists take you on a holiday-inspired culinary journey. You can also listen to an old-fashioned radio reading of The Night Before Christmas and jingle bell rock the day away during a dance party in The Children’s Museum. Craft demonstrations will let you solder and take home your own stained-glass mistletoe or print your own bookmark. And mad scientists will demonstrate some shivery science with dry ice and liquid nitrogen.
