Principal Selected for Princeton High School
Cincinnati, Ohio – February 24, 2024 – The Princeton City School District's Board of Education is pleased to announce a new head principal starting in the 2025-2026 school year. Board members approved James Stallings as the new principal of Princeton High School on Monday, February 24, 2025. Stallings will replace Ron Bollmer, who has served in the district for the past 34 years—the last six as head principal. Bollmer, the 17th principal of Princeton High School, is retiring on August 1, 2025.
“Under Ron Bollmer’s tenure, we have seen great growth and a return of Princeton Pride in our school. What truly distinguishes his approach is his strong leadership. He knows students by name, attends countless (if not every) school events, and has been a visible presence in our hallways. While we will deeply miss Ron’s daily direction at Princeton High School, his influence will continue to be felt for generations to come,” Superintendent G. Elgin Card said. “The systems he has put in place, the school culture he has nurtured, and the high standards he has set provide a strong foundation for our future.”
Card added, “Mr. Stallings brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to education and the Princeton community, where he is currently serving as the Assistant Director of Student Services. With over six years of experience as a principal, assistant principal at Lakota West, and head principal of Wyoming, James has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a dedication to fostering an academic and supportive learning environment.”
A proud graduate of Princeton High School, Stallings has a unique and personal connection to the community. This connection is further strengthened by his extensive teaching experience within the district. Stallings started as an aide in the district and worked for 9 years as an Intervention Specialist, where he inspired and guided countless students. He also served as the head Track and Field coach.
His background in both teaching and administration provides a comprehensive understanding of the educational landscape, ensuring that every student receives the support and resources necessary to thrive. His vision and dedication are instrumental in shaping a positive and nurturing educational experience for every student in the district.
The position of Assistant Director of Student Services will be cut in 2025 due to budget reductions and a hiring freeze put into effect after the November 2024 levy failure in the District. Princeton will have an estimated savings of $859,378 due to administrative and non-bargaining staff reductions in the 2025-2026 school year. This is part of the $5.7 million in cuts and reductions in a resolution that the Board of Education voted on December 9, 2024.
Princeton High School earned a 4.5 Star rating overall on the 2024 State of Ohio Report Card and 5 Stars in the areas of Progress, Gap Closing, and Graduation.
