Evening OMNIMAX® screenings offer new way to spend Friday and Saturday nights
Showtimes as late as 7:30 p.m. pulling from catalog of 25+ films
CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Museum Center’s Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater features a screen so large it needs more hours to contain it. The museum is extending hours in its five-story domed OMNIMAX® Theater on Fridays and Saturdays, with added showtimes at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Make an OMNIMAX® film part of your date night, happy hour or the kickoff to a weekend slumber party.
The extended hours kick off March 27 as part of CMC’s MAX Madness film showcase.
Since its opening in 1990, the OMNIMAX® Theater has screened over 100 films, taking more than nine million viewers from the depths of the ocean to the farthest reaches of space and everywhere in between. The immersive film experience surrounds you as you soar with the Blue Angels or come nose-to-nose with polar bears, lions, bobcats and more. Since the theater transitioned to digital in 2018, its catalog numbers more than two dozen films that will rotate through the extended evening hours along with new releases.
If you can’t choose which film you’d like to see, enjoy more than one and save. CMC offers a multi-film discount when you purchase two or more films on the same day, saving you $2 off each ticket.
Available concessions for the evening screenings include soft drinks, icees beer and wine as well as popcorn, cookies, cotton candy chips and other snacks.
The extended OMNIMAX® hours kick off during the championship weekend of MAX Madness, the museum’s 16-film tournament to see who will be crowned Queen of the Dome Screen. March 27 to 29, CMC will screen all 16 MAX Madness films, using the added evening showtimes to make sure every film gets its run on screen. You can still vote to send one of the Final Four remaining films to the championship at cincymuseum.org/max-madness.
