CINCINNATI, OH – Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. is thrilled to announce its Fall Health Fair, which will provide attendees with a wide range of vital health and wellness resources.

The Fall Health Fair will feature more than 30 local organizations and vendors, offering free health screenings including blood pressure, glucose testing, and hearing and balance, as well as dance fitness workshops and fun activities for all ages. Several organizations will be providing community resources, and information on nutrition, mental health, and financial wellness. The Health Fair will also include free produce distribution, thanks to a partnership with the Freestore Foodbank, and a free hot meal to enjoy. Additionally, bilingual volunteers will be on hand to provide free translation services for Spanish-speaking participants. The event will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at ARCO Cincinnati located at 3301 Price Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45205. Free parking will be available at ARCO Cincy, and along Hawthorne Avenue.

“Our Spring Health Fair reflects our dedication to improving the health and wellness of our community,” says H.A. Musser, President and CEO of Santa Maria Community Services. “We’re teaming up with local organizations and vendors to offer a range of free health screenings and enjoyable activities for people of all ages. We’re also thrilled to provide free translation services for Spanish-speaking participants this year, recognizing that language barriers can sometimes prevent individuals from accessing the care they need. Our goal is to make sure our services are available to everyone in the community.”

Events such as the Health Fair play a crucial role in communities like Greater Price Hill, where health issues are widespread and 18% of residents lack the insurance needed for proper care.

“We hope that this event will empower individuals to take charge of their health and well- being, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community," said Musser.
