Job Description Summary
The Linguistics Program, housed in the English Department at Miami University (Oxford, OH), invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor position in sociolinguistics with an anticipated start date of January 21, 2025 and end date of December 12, 2025, with the possibility of renewal.


Job Description
Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach four courses per semester in linguistics. Position begins January 21, 2025.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required: Ph.D. in linguistics or applied linguistics by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; ABD in linguistics or applied linguistics by date of appointment for appointment as Instructor; experience in undergraduate teaching in linguistics.
  • Consideration may be given to candidates with a record of proven excellence in teaching courses in linguistics and sociolinguistics at the undergraduate level.
