Job Description Summary
Primarily in custodial services, performs a variety of administrative tasks related to assisting in the oversight of the maintenance operations on University facilities on and off campus. Hours for this 28 hour position are Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with additional hours to be determined during the work week.

Job Description
Essential Duties:

  • Oversees activities of unit; enforces rules and regulations; ensures the smooth flow of operations; ensures availability of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Supervises staff; establishes schedules and assigns tasks; monitors and evaluates staff.
  • Monitors and reviews completed tasks; ensures that any necessary changes or corrections are made.
  • Reviews and approves employee timecards; maintains a variety of employee records which may include attendance, vacation, and sick leave.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and materials; initates purchase process for supplies and materials as necessary.
  • May perform a variety of other tasks, including designing and manufacturing specialized equipment, planning evens, maintaining unit records, and preparing reports.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires nine months of training beyond high school and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May require a driver's license.
  • May require a pesticide application license.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of housekeeping or groundskeeping procedures
  • Supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of computer and office applications

 

Additional Information

A criminal background check is required. All campuses are smoke- and tobacco-free campuses.
